Pay for Autodesk products only when you use them
Starting 4 June, Flex, Autodesk’s token-based pay-as-you-go licensing model, becomes even more accessible. The minimum Flex Token purchase has been reduced from 100 tokens (approximately €310) to just 33 tokens (approximately €100), lowering the barrier to entry for customers who need occasional access to Autodesk software.
Autodesk Flex is a pay-as-you-go token system that allows you to pre-purchase tokens and access any Flex-enabled product at a daily rate. Usage rates vary by product and tokens are deducted from a shared pool whenever Autodesk software is opened. Flex is an ideal option for teams and individuals who want to try a product or only need occasional access.
This change makes it easier to access design software, offering greater pricing flexibility through lower upfront costs. It also helps customers achieve value faster with simple onboarding, while supporting broader usability and adoption across Autodesk’s product portfolio.
What it means for you
The new lower minimum purchase requirement for Flex is available to all customers.
Small businesses can get started with a lower upfront investment.
Larger companies can use Flex alongside their subscriptions to scale usage more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Flex provides prepaid access to more than 100 Autodesk products, making it ideal for evaluating new tools, occasional use, or short-term project requirements. To evaluate how many tokens are required for the full list of products, please contact our team of experts who will be happy to provide you with further guidance.
Reveal a useful tip
If you have a non-zero Flex Token balance in your account, you can use selected Autodesk products and services without consuming any Flex Tokens. Simply maintain a positive token balance to access the required products and services. Contact us for further details on the daily rates.

ARKANCE customers commonly use Flex alongside their subscriptions for:
Occasional users (such as managers or reviewers)
For example, a specialist reviewing a project in Revit.
Short-term projects or external collaborators
Where a full annual or monthly subscription cannot be justified.
Evaluating new Autodesk tools before wider adoption
For example, testing products such as Netfabb, PowerMill or VRED.
Specialised tasks that do not justify a dedicated licence

Frequently asked questions
When are you charged for using a product?
If you open a specific product for more than approx. 5 minutes in a 24-hour period, you will be charged for a daily rate of that product.
Can I restrict my users' use of Flex?
You can control which Autodesk products each user can access through Flex, but you cannot set limits on the number of tokens they consume. To help manage token usage, make sure Flex users understand how token charges work. For example, if a user opens a Flex-enabled product on a Friday and leaves it running over the weekend, additional daily token charges may apply.
Do I need to own or purchase a product before using it with Flex?
No. One of the key benefits of Flex is that you can access any Flex-supported Autodesk product without purchasing a separate licence for it. Simply use your Flex Tokens to access the products you need, when you need them.
Can I see my current Flex Token consumption?
Yes. You can view your current Flex Token balance and usage history in your Autodesk Account. This allows you to monitor token consumption, track usage trends and manage your remaining balance.
