CHALLENGES:
Managing huge data in local drives and share point
Documentation and maintenance of design files
Lack of Connected/latest information or data which is shared across numerous departments in any project

Cost constraint on managing their local drive and email spaces

SOLUTIONS:
To streamline their document management process, Capricot implemented the use of Autodesk BIM 360 Docs, which acts a common data repository for multiple file types. In order to effectively switch to this new solution, two phases of user level tool based BIM360 application training were conducted and scheduled for the selected ongoing projects with the user count of more than 180 including external consultants. The first phase was all about the basics of BIM 360, Account Activation and live tests on dummy projects. The second phase focused on actual project on-boarding. Once training was complete, Capricot then worked with Kalpataru to set up the necessary folder structures and workflows as well as migrate both legacy and live project data across to the new system. Periodic follow-up activities were also conducted to ensure the system was working as required.
